Your 2019-2020 Chamber of Commerce Board is committed to diligently managing chamber finances and supporting local business . When we first gathered, our first order of business was to cut spending and save the chamber from imminent bankruptcy. By scrapping our previous website and partnering with a local freelance website developer, we were able to cut our yearly budget by over $3,000. To ensure our website visitors will be able to access chamber resources as soon as possible, our developer has agreed to fine tune the website in stages while we find the best content and resources possible for our community and visitors.

On this page you will find our vision for what we wish to provide for our community and businesses, and how those resources will be accessible via our website. Below you will find descriptions of our plans for the COMING SOON section on our website.

Visitor’s Center & Tourism: This section will showcase our wonderful visitor’s center and all the great resources that can be found inside. Additionally, our mission is to create a comprehensive online resource to encourage tourism in our community.

Future Residents: This section will be a resource to provide prospective community members with a bird’s eye vision of what our community has to offer.

Current Residents: This section will be a resource for current community members to encourage them to engage in their local community in new, exciting ways.

Business Resources: This section provide resources for local businesses and nonprofits. We plan to provide business courses and more!

History of Newport: The Greater Newport Area is filled with stories and historical treasures that often get buried with the passage of time. This section of our website will showcase some of our area’s most beloved historic gems as well as lesser known stories. We hope to make this page come to life with help from locals and the Newport Historical Museum. We also plan to showcase the Newport Historical Museum on this page.
