The Greater Newport Area Chamber’s Mission is to create, promote, and strengthen our business and economic climate as we believe that a prosperous business community and robust economy will lead to an enhanced quality of life for the communities we serve. It is here to meet the business community needs. It is a voluntary organization of businesses, professionals, and interested individuals who join together to advance the interests of the community. It is an information bureau, and a business resource tool. The chambers is run by its members through an elected board of directors who serve without pay.
The variety of Chamber activities is virtually unlimited and changes to meet the needs of the community. Committees, composed of chamber members and volunteers, are the driving forces of the Chamber. They accomplish the organizations goals and objectives. Chamber membership is an investment in present and future of the Greater Newport Area. Any business, nonprofit, or individual sharing a common interest in community improvement is eligible for membership.

Your Chamber’s real strength is in its unplugged community power and it local expertise. Whether it is business advice, connections, referrals or just a sounding board, that is what your Chamber is there for. While the online world has brought us a wealth of new opportunities, there is a great deal to be said for the power of local community. Joining the Chamber of Commerce not only provides many resources for your business, but also for daily life.
